At Lunch Time

Page history last edited by Gillian Roper 4 years, 6 months ago

We generate a lot waste when we eat.

Here are some tips to help you reduce your waste and eat more responsibly.

In my lunch box

  1. Avoid individual packaging. Instead buy family packaging and take what you need for the day in a reusable container... example yogurt.
  2. Always reuse your utensils. Avoid plastic ones which will break eventually.
  3. Compost leftover organic waste (there is a bin in the atrium of the LB building)
  4. If you did not finish your lunch, bring back your leftovers.
  5. If you buy prepared meals, recycle the box it came with and wash the plastic container in which the meal was put in.

For take-out

  1. Bring your own container when you buy take-out.
  2. If you did not finish your meal, bring back the leftovers.

At the restaurant

  1. Choose a meal size which is good for you.
  2. If you did not finish your meal, ask the waiter to put your leftovers in your container.

Happy Eating!
